Sandra is an acupuncturist, Chinese herbalist and founder of Treatment by Lanshin. In practice for over a decade, she focuses on treating skin disorders and skin rejuvenation because she believes the future of skin health will greatly evolve with the unique approach of Chinese medicine. Specially trained in herbal dermatology, she uses Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture to resolve common skin problems like acne, rosacea, dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis.

In recent years her work with facial rejuvenation using acupuncture, gua sha, cupping and other Chinese medical tools has also received increasing interest and media attention.

Through her success in treating pain conditions, infertility, digestive disorders, etc., Sandra observed her work also had a powerful impact on improving skin quality, complexion and an overall restoration of youthfulness. Today she applies the techniques she has learned and developed to restore the healthful vigor of skin and youthfulness of face and body.

Providing education to clients is of key importance to Sandra's work in helping them create lasting patterns of health and vitality. Teaching them how to bring TCM into their daily lives through self-care and home practices has become an important part of her work.

At the end of the day, Sandra hopes that her work can continue to inspire more people to know the great wisdom and wonder of Chinese medicine, which offers a healthy perspective on the deeper dimensions and sources of beauty and vitality within all of us.

 

CV HIGHLIGHTS


  • Sandra is a UC Berkeley Alumni, where she undertook a pre-medicine course of study and received a BA in Economics. 

  • After earning her Master's degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in 2005, Sandra continued her post-graduate studies in Beijing - where she apprenticed with the late TCM doctor, acupuncturist and author of Applied Channel Theory - Dr. Wang Ju-Yi.

  • Led by an endless curiosity of the human body, Sandra began training in Ortho-bionomy® in 2008, an osteopathic-like healing system she found to be a brilliant complement to her acupuncture and body work.

  • Furthering still her knowledge base in dermatology, Sandra completed a course of specialized study with world recognized leader in TCM dermatology, Mazin Al-Khafaji.
